Toffee Refractory Modeling Paste by Sio 2 is a modeling paste with 40% impalpable chamotte of 0-0.2 mm, with a caramel effect. Indicated for artistic ceramics, it is ideal for turning and modeling pieces with fine details on a smooth surface. The high chamotte content gives it excellent behavior during drying and cooking. Depending on the firing temperature, it develops a beautiful range of natural tones, from oat beige to caramel brown, which create a warm base much appreciated in ceramic decoration. Suitable for tableware (food-safe), according to ISO 6486. Burning temperature: 1200-1300ºC; Biscuit Temperature: 1000ºC; Humidity: 19%; Plasticity (IP Atterberg): 13; Calcimetry (CaCO3): 0%; Shrink drying: 6.2%; Cooking shrinkage (1300°C): 5.6%; Porosity (water absorption 1300ºC): 0.1%; Dry mechanical strength: 3.5 N/mm2; Mechanical resistance to fire (1300ºC): 45.5 N/mm2; Expansion coefficient (25-500ºC): 50.8x10^-7ºC^-1; Available in moldable plastic paste weighing 12.50 kg.
