Sio-2 Black Ice - Black Porcelain

Black Ice is a black porcelain noted for its beautiful black graphite. It has high plasticity, which makes it ideal for weel-throwing and modelling. Its formula is very stable and provides a secure firing range between 1200 and 1240ºC (oxidizing atmosphere). Available in extruded body (moist form). Presented in a practical 5 kg cylindrical format with double packaging. Firing range: 1200-1240ºC; Biscuit temperature: 1000ºC, Water content: 20%; Plasticity (IP Atterberg): 11; Carbonate content (CaCO3): 0%; Drying shrinkage: 5.4%; Firing shrinkage (1220ºC): 10.3%; Porosity (water absorption at 1220ºC): 0.0%; Dry bending strength: 3.1 N/mm2; Fired bending strength (1220ºC): 39.8 N/mm2; Thermal coefficient (25-500ºC): 54.3x10^-7ºC^-1.
