Sio-2 Upsala - Blue Porcelain

Upsala is a unique blue porcelain noted for its beautiful cobalt blue. It has high plasticity, which makes it ideal for wheel-throwing and modelling. Its formula is very stable and provides a secure firing range between 1200 and 1240ºC (oxidizing atmosphere). Available in extruded body (moist form). Presented in a practical 5 kg cylindrical format with double packaging. Firing range: 1200-1240ºC; Biscuit temperature: 1000ºC; Water content: 21%; Plasticity (IP Atterberg): 11; Carbonate content (CaCO3): 0%; Drying shrinkage: 5.2%; Firing shrinkage (1220ºC): 10.4%; Porosity (water absorption at 1220ºC): 0.0%; Dry bending strength: 3.3 N/mm2; Fired bending strength (1220ºC): 47.2 N/mm2; Thermal coefficient (25-500ºC): 58.3x10^-7ºC^-1.
