PF/CHM - Sio-2 Grogged Red Earthenware

Red earthenware body, this SIO-2 PF/CHM Grogged Red Earthenware has 20% of médium 0-1,5 mm coarse grog. Formulated for artistic and decorative ceramics, it is ideal for big size sculpture and pieces for outdoors (garden pots, tiles, etc.). The high content of grog confers a beautiful textured surface and an excellent behaviour during drying and firing. Depending on the firing temperature, it develops an interesting range of reds, from light to dark red, which satisfies the most avantgarde trends in artistic and decorative ceramics. Available in extruded body (moist form). Firing range: 970-1055ºC; Water content (throwing): 19%; Plasticity (IP Atterberg): 14; Carbonate contente (CaCO3): 8%; Drying shrinkage: 0,7%; Firing shrinkage (1000ºC): 0,7%; Porosity (water absorption at 1000ºC): 13.8%; Dry bending strength: 3.7 N/mm2; Fired bending strength: 3,7 N/mm2; Thermal coefficient (25-500ºC): 73.2x10^-7ºC^-1.
