Heat Resistant Silicone HB - Artidee

This environmentally vulcanized rubber silicone is easily recognizable as a heat resistant silicone because of its distinctive reddish color. It is preferred for the preparation of durable pewter molds. The silicone is thick but yet can be painted and shaped by having excellent fluidity. Due to its resistance to high temperatures, it can be mixed with high quality fills that ensure that the prepared molds are solid and stable. They are neither elastic nor extensible. For this reason, even simple brass plates can be modeled without recesses. As these molds are preferably used to fill with low melting point metal alloys such as brass or lead, these molds differ from other two-part molds, not only by color but also by the small and particularly narrow aperture, which normally, is accompanied by an even smaller one on the surface of the mold. This is due to the special molding techniques that use liquid metals. These should be fluid and should not cool for fill the mold to spread evenly and fill it fully. At the same time the air inside the mold should come out, which is done through the second opening. Because it is compatible with other Createc silicones, this silicone can be mixed with Elastic Silicone (Silcoflex HE). This creates an elastic, temperature-resistant silicone composition that enables the molding of complex models with large recesses. This ability has revolutionized pewter modeling technology that produces fantastic components, which were previously not possible with cold cure modeling materials. This results in totally plastic figures such as toy soldiers, Indians, historical portraits of people, animals, etc. Which have been traditionally modeled for many decadeslike flat brass figures and carefully painted. In addition, chess figures, Christmas decorations, belt buckles, buttons, decorative inlays for bottles and jars, brooches, wheels, small cannons, candle holders, mugs, plates, etc. are now possible. The forms of two or more parts prepared with Heat Resistant Silicone, are so durable and stable that they are allowed to make between 100 and 150 copies. This silicone is also suitable for the production of engravings with linoleum plates. Silicon plates with a uniform thickness of 5mm to 6mm are modeled and worked with linoleum cutting tools, after a reaction from 24h to 36 hours. If the hardness of the plate is not sufficient, fine quartz powder may be mixed with the silicone before mixing with the hardener. This makes the boards harder. The same technique is used to carve matrices for jewelery molds. However, for this purpose, silicone layers having a thickness of 6mm to 8mm are used. In addition, silicone molds can be made from jewelery for the manufacture of pendants and brooches. This silicone comes with the appropriate hardener, a mixing container and instructions for use.
