Marabu Textil Print Ink

Marabu Textil Print Ink is a water-based printing ink for light and dark fabrics (without finishes and softeners) with a maximum of 20% synthetic fiber. The ink is highly viscous and allows it to be diluted with water if necessary. Its slow drying time makes this ink ideal for techniques such as screen printing or block printing. With a matte finish, this odorless and light-resistant ink is very practical and easy to use, in block printing: create your matrix, engraving the desired image on a printing plate in a mirrored way, as the print will be inverted; Apply a thin layer of paint with the rubber roller, without excess paint, so that it covers all the work reliefs; Position the printing plate on the fabric and press it down lightly, carefully remove the plate from the fabric and when the printing is complete, quickly clean the plate with water and let it dry. Screen Printing: Create your matrix and fix it on the printing screen; Place the canvas on the fabric and place a small amount of paint along one side of the canvas; Drag the paint evenly to the opposite side, with a squeegee, in order to cover all the stencil areas; Carefully remove the canvas from the fabric. After drying, it can be fixed in the oven for 8 minutes at 150°C or by ironing without steam for 3 minutes. With this care, the painted fabric is washable up to 40°C, always with the fabric inside out. It is important that you wash the fabrics before painting, for a better paint reception. In the case of a double layer fabric, eg bags, pillowcases, etc, you must place a card in the middle so the ink does not pass to the other layer of fabric. Results are most effective on 100% cotton fabrics.
